Messaging Compliance (Opt-in Documentation)

Last updated: February 2026

This page documents how users opt in to receive SMS messages on the DeepContext platform. It is intended for carrier and A2P 10DLC compliance review.

1. How Opt-In Works on DeepContext

1.1 Social Media Keyword Opt-In

  1. Marketers advertise a keyword on social media (TikTok, Instagram, etc.)
  2. Users text the keyword to the marketer's messaging number (e.g., (555) 123-4567)
  3. DeepContext sends a confirmation message that includes required disclosures (message frequency, "Msg & Data rates may apply", and STOP/HELP instructions)

1.2 Primary Web Opt-In (Hosted Subscribe Page)

Users can opt in through a hosted subscribe form. Example: https://deepcontext.app/m/onebodyonesystem/subscribe.

"By checking, you are allowing to receive transactional/informational SMS communications regarding account notifications, customer care, and requested updates from One Body One System. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt-out."

"By checking, you are allowing to receive promotional/marketing SMS communications from One Body One System. Frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt-out."

1.3 Secondary Web Opt-In (Event/Campaign Forms)

Marketers create event/campaign forms that generate unique, shareable URLs. Example:

https://deepcontext.app/m/onebodyonesystem/f/OVD90L

These forms collect name, email, and optionally phone number. When SMS consent is enabled, they show two independent SMS consent checkboxes:

"By checking, you are allowing to receive transactional/informational SMS communications regarding account notifications, customer care, and requested updates from One Body One System. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt-out."

"By checking, you are allowing to receive promotional/marketing SMS communications from One Body One System. Frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt-out."

Both forms have unchecked optional SMS checkboxes by default. Both link users to the brand's Privacy Policy and Terms pages before submission.

1.4 Twilio Campaign Field (Copy-Ready)

The following text is generated from the same centralized consent definitions used by live forms and can be used in the Twilio field: "How do end-users consent to receive messages?"

Users consent to receive SMS messages through explicit opt-in on web forms.

1) Primary opt-in (subscribe page): https://deepcontext.app/m/onebodyonesystem/subscribe
Transactional checkbox text (verbatim): "By checking, you are allowing to receive transactional/informational SMS communications regarding account notifications, customer care, and requested updates from One Body One System. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt-out."
Marketing checkbox text (verbatim): "By checking, you are allowing to receive promotional/marketing SMS communications from One Body One System. Frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt-out."

2) Secondary opt-in (event/campaign forms): https://deepcontext.app/m/onebodyonesystem/f/OVD90L

Both forms use two unchecked optional SMS consent checkboxes by default.
Both forms link to Privacy Policy (https://deepcontext.app/m/onebodyonesystem/privacy) and Terms (https://deepcontext.app/m/onebodyonesystem/terms).

Hosted forms also include links to https://deepcontext.app/m/onebodyonesystem/privacy and https://deepcontext.app/m/onebodyonesystem/terms.

Use cases for campaign forms include:

  • Booth/event sign-up: visitor fills out form at an event, receives a follow-up message
  • In-person meeting: contact fills out form shared by the marketer, receives communications
  • Online lead capture: form linked from social media or website

2. Example Opt-In Screenshots (Mock Examples)

These are mock examples of compliant opt-in prompts. Each example clearly shows a keyword, a phone number, and the disclosure "Msg & data rates may apply".

3. Opt-In Confirmation Message Examples

Hosted form opt-ins and keyword START/JOIN opt-ins each use standardized messages sourced from centralized compliance copy.

3.1 Hosted Form Opt-In Confirmation

Hi Avery, you're subscribed to promotional SMS updates from One Body One System via DeepContext. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.

3.2 Keyword START/JOIN Opt-In Confirmation

The keyword opt-in auto-reply confirms enrollment with clear, first-time-safe language.

Welcome to One Body One System! You're subscribed to transactional and promotional SMS updates. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.

4. Keyword Auto-Replies

4.1 STOP (Opt-Out)

When a user replies STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT), the system immediately opts them out and sends a confirmation:

You have been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages. Reply START to re-subscribe.

4.2 HELP (Support)

When a user replies HELP (or INFO), the system sends an informational auto-reply:

Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Msg&Data Rates May Apply.

4.3 START / JOIN (Re-Subscribe)

When a previously opted-out user replies START (or JOIN), the system re-subscribes them and sends a confirmation with required disclosures:

Welcome to One Body One System! You're subscribed to transactional and promotional SMS updates. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.

5. Policies

Each brand/tenant on DeepContext has its own set of policy pages accessible via their unique slug:

Per-Brand Policy Pages

  • Privacy Policy: deepcontext.app/m/{slug}/privacy
  • Terms & Conditions (includes SMS Program Terms): deepcontext.app/m/{slug}/terms

Platform-Level Policies

6. Data Handling

  • Consent records: We store the timestamp, source (keyword, hosted form, or campaign form), and source URL for every SMS opt-in.
  • Suppression: Opted-out contacts are flagged and will not receive further SMS messages. Suppression records are retained indefinitely.
  • No third-party sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • Consent-data protection: All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
